IE Venture Network
Join IE Venture Network Thursday, 17th October 2013!
This weekly pitch slam is an invaluable resource for early stage entrepreneurs, a forum for engaging the entrepreneurial community, promoting your startup, and at best securing an investment from our Investors in Residence Wayra, Highgrowth Innovation, Big Sur Ventures, and Sodena. The Venture Network is unique in that it is a very informal gathering where startups can meet investors in an informal setting over beers and snacks and focus on what’s important; building relationships. The Venture Network is a great way to perfect your pitch, get feedback on your product, and meet the local startup community.
The Venture Network´s resident panel of startup experts include:
- Gonzalo Tradacete, Faraday
- Dieter Staib, Business Angels
- START DMC
The three startups that will present their project in 7 minutes will be:
Julian Daich , Bioimag
Bioimag develops and produces smart contrast agents for magnetic resonance imaging(MRI ) for the diagnosis of conditions related to enzyme activity. Its technology allows replacing biopsies with clinical imaging methods and even to predict the evolution of clinical conditions. The potential impact of the technology promises future significant incomes as well as bringing benefits to the development of local biomedical science. Bioimag technology is covered by patent applications in the U.S. and Europe.
Javier Olaguibel, Rollcard
Rollcard is a networking web and mobile app with which the user will design a unique digital business card with his contact and online information (social networks, video, images…), exchange cards through QR codes technology (even if the receiver doesn’t have the app) and will access his cardholder from any device syncing contacts with his agenda. In case of changing contact details they will be updated even in the cards that have already been exchanged and he will have access to metrics that measure the effectiveness of his networking (diffusion of his business cards…).
Mariana Romero, Copilot
Research shows that average professionals receive 100 emails a day. When the first email was sent in the 70s this flow of information was hardly imagined. Email clients have not changed much. Copilot is a new way to work with email. It learns about your projects, your behavior, your contacts; making email simple and efficient.
IE Venture Network will be held every Thursday, from 7pm to 9.30 pm, at “AREA 31” María de Molina 31.Register your attendance here! http://entrepreneurship.ie.edu/venture-network
