The last Saturday, July 13 was the third edition of Startup Hack that allows programmers and MBA candidates propose solutions and create prototypes of the ideas raised as well as develop a viable business model for the products that were built. The theme of this edition was Crowdfunding and the aim was to develop «new ideas and concepts in the field of the collective financing of business projects, social entrepreneurship, and community initiatives…»
This edition involved 23 participants (4 MBA and 19 programmers) split in 6 teams, who developed the theme-related mobile apps and web platforms.
At the end of the day the groups presented their ideas, being selected as winner the project Street pay: a platform to do micro payments with your mobile phone through QR codes. The platform provides QR codes to users (musicians) who want to raise money and to announce them, allowing that customers can access the payment platform through the mobile, and contributing to their careers quickly and easily and without having to carry money in your pocket!
It really was an exceptional opportunity to build a new product and a business plan in parallel as well as to network with some of Madrid top programmers.
