The next Venture Network will be run in collaboration with Brown’s Program in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship (PRIME). The underlying educational platform of the PRIME Engineering experience focuses on innovation and development of embryonic ideas grounded in sophisticated science and engineering concepts. 

IE Venture Network has a main objective of providing resources and advice for entrepreneurs and innovation communities. Updated and useful feedback and conversations are one of our main missions in order to create a connection among the initial entrepreneurs and the potential investors and consolidated companies and make future dreams come true. All this in a friendly environment with some drinks and snacks to share it.

The Venture Network will hold a Pitch Slam in which 3 projects will have the opportunity to present their project to investors, including:

• Rafael Garrido, Jaime Amoribieta y Gonzalo Castellano, Vitamina K
• Daniel Soriano, Director International Center for Entrepreneurial Management

The three startups that will present their project in 7 minutes will be:

Game Therapy Liaisons. Olivier Allardin, Ningbin Huang, Daniel Insulza and Jong Hwa Song
A data collector video game based therapeutic box, which will be used with traumatic brain injury patients. This device will be used by TBI patients in a home setting and it will keep children motivated to do their rehabilitation exercises while keeping track of the amount of exercise they have done.

Artificial Intelligence for Education.  Brian Monetti, Venkata Nuthakki, Kritsada Tanking and Jiacong Zheng
Primary education systems across the world create limits on the available content to students, as well as keep them in curriculum tracks that are not optimized for all students.  We are proposing a worldwide educational content linking system which will allow students to access content from a variety of educational sources, and link from one to another seamlessly and easily.  This system will allow students to easily access information of interest and better provide them with opportunities that do not exist in the classroom. 

Electroplating CZTS Solar Cells.  Bhavuk Nagpal, Sean Pennino, Xiaotong Shan and Meng Zhang
An innovative method of electroplating that can reduce the cost of producing thin film solar cells.  We intend to use this method to produce CZTS (copper, zinc, tin, sulfur) cells that can be sold to panel manufacturers.

Cabify is the first mobile app suite that allows anyone to request a luxury car and professional driver at a moment’s notice. All Cabify rides are billed instantaneously to users’ credit card accounts. Furthermore, the company has developed a driver reputation system to ensure quality control.

Jorge Ubero, Big Data 4 Success (BD4S)

Big Data 4 Success (BD4S) is a new project aimed at providing all the power of massive data analysis to companies in the retail sector. We transform uncertainty into information, in order to our clients have a better understanding of their markets and the news trends, through the use of an easy and user-friendly application, with the capability of a total customization.

Andres Areitio, BuyFresco

BuyFresco.com is an Internet-based grocery delivery service specializing in food and health. It engages in the online sales of domestic consumer goods (food, beverage,household, hygiene and pets) and its mission is to make the weekly shop faster,easier and healthier for people who have little time thanks to its technology platform.

CABIFY  es la primera aplicación móvil que permite al usuario solicitar ser recogido por un vehículo de alta gama con chófer.  El pago es totalmente seguro e instantáneo a través de la tarjeta de crédito una vez que el usuario se registra en la plataforma y no es necesario realizar ninguna transacción monetaria con el conductor.

Jorge Ubero, Big Data 4 Success (BD4S)

Big Data 4 Success (BD4S) es un nuevo proyecto encaminado a proporcionar todo el poder del análisis de la información masiva a las empresas del sector del retail. Convertimos la incertidumbre en información para que nuestros clientes puedan tener un mejor conocimiento de sus mercados y las nuevas tendencias, a través de una aplicación sencilla y amigable, con la posibilidad de estar complemente personalizada.

Andres Areitio, BuyFresco

BuyFresco.com es un supermercado online especializado en alimentación y salud. Su actividad es la venta online de artículos de consumo doméstico (alimentación, bebidas, hogar, higiene y mascotas) y su misión es lograr que la compra semanal sea más rápida, fácil y sana para aquellas personas que tienen poco tiempo gracias a su plataforma tecnológica.

Anaxsys is a British Company (start up) specialized in hospital medical devices for measuring respiratory breathing (respiR8 is the top brand in the portfolio). Our main areas of development are anesthesia, COPD, Sleep Apnoea and lung cancer.

With LookAd you can place virtual mailboxes in you favourite areas and set them up so that you only receive those offers you can really use. And if you have something to offer, you can send your campaigns through the app.

Luis del Cañizo, iDoctus
Offers quick access to synthetic clinical information for physician´s smartphones at the point-of-care. This app includes drug reference and disease information, collaboration tools for trusted doctors, and an up-to-date service with segmented specialty news. Furthermore the platform serves as an efficient digital channel for pharmaceutical promotion. The two founders aggregate together 5 degrees from Stanford and MIT.

Es una aplicación que lleva a los teléfonos móviles las ofertas que están en los escaparates. Con LookAd puedes colocar buzones virtuales en tus zonas más frecuentes y configurarlos para recibir en tu teléfono sólo aquellas ofertas que de verdad vas a aprovechar. Y si tienes algo que anunciar, también puedes enviar una campaña a través de la propia app.

Luis del Cañizo, iDoctus
Es una plataforma de ayuda clínica, que proporciona información sintetizada en los smartphones de los médicos. Sencillo y rápido, proporciona al médico herramientas y contenidos de Consulta y Referencia Clínica, una Red de Colaboración entre médicos, y un servicio de Puesta al Día con noticias de cada especialidad médica. Al mismo tiempo sirve a la industria farmacéutica abriendo un nuevo canal digital para la promoción farmacéutica en el momento de la prescripción. Los dos fundadores suman 5 títulos de Stanford y MIT.
